Ivanhoe Harriers celebrated 50 years of service to the club by Dr.John Boas with a BBQ and presentation at their track at Willinda Park. John was a 400/800m runner in his younger days but made his mark on the sport in coaching. As well as his regular club coaching duties, John was a former National Jumps Coach. Some of his more celebrated athletes included:

The summer season has kicked off with already two rounds completed. Round three is a program 3 schedule, and will be held on Thursday, 1 November 2007 (Night Timetable: 5:00pm start) Box Hill.

Please note that some rules for competiton have been changed. Consult your team manager for these details as there are quite a few changes that mostly affect the field events. There have also been some changes made to the track events relating to graded heats which attempts to even out the competiton per race so that athletes are competing with others of similar level.

It is still not too late to join our club! Please find all relevant contact details on our membership page. It is a family club and participants of all ages are invited to join.
